This is Steffi, also known as "Den Hvite" (The White One). She was one of the lovely Bull Terriers at Kennel Formula (www.bullbox.no). You can read more about her here: ps: it's in norwegian Steffi died of old age, and this is a little tribute to her, as she was a Bull Terrier I read a lot about and loved, even though I've never met her. I was looking at this [link] photo when I drew this. I got permission from Steffi's owners to submit this to DA.
The interesting thing about this is, that on one hand, it looks like a photo, but on the over hand, it doesn't (I hope that makes sense) I'm curious as to how you did this.
Contrary to the comment that was made on this submission, I really don't think this dog looks dangerous, at all; in fact, I think she looks quite serene. The subdued colour palette helps to reinforce the artwork's sense of serenity.
The lighting makes the dog look as though she's carved out of stone (strong lighting emphasizes the chiselled features of a statue)
I used to think those dogs were cute, but until i saw the exorcist movie...0_o i think. Its friggen scary. Like, the dog (just like that) is standing in the middle of a long road, nd like, his head trns upside down, nd its all weird nd scary, then he appears a couple more times, i tried to find a link to a pic of it, so i looked up The Excorsist dog, nd all i saw was this weird scary chic from the movie, that "spider walk" thing down the stairs (scariest thing in the world to me...seriously.) nd angry chihuahuas. lol. Sorry i wrote so much. Im just really descriptive... (:

A fitting tribute to the recently deceased.
