unfinished: anthro in flames

ok, so here's just another meaningless drawing. It took about an hour to finish (or, well, heh, it's not finished, and I'm not going to finish it either because I don't see why I should). Its only purpose was for me to practice on drawing flames. And it's 100% pure randomness.
The character is mine, though I've never really drawn or used him before, but he's still mine, so no stealing or copying or whatever... 'xD

Also this one made me realize just how much I suck at drawing flames. At least realistic looking flames. The only ones I'm good at are those Pimp-My-Ride kinda flames you see on cars. But that's not good enough, 'cos thing is - on one of the commissions I'm working on, I wanna and hafta draw fire. I'm trying to make the character a bit realistic, y'know, so then of course I can't draw cartoon-flames..! right?
It sucks 'cos I'm like 95% done with the drawing, all that's left are those flames. So please if any of you dudes can give me some advices or find me some tutorials or just ANYTHING to help me draw better looking flames than this here piece 'o crap, then I'd be forever thankful ;]
